MODERN WOMAN, INDIGENOUS SPIRIT

“The human heart must be a strong and resilient thing, Daphne decided when she awoke the following morning. She was surprised to find that she was no longer in the throes of wrenching heartbreak and pain. Instead, in a strange way, she felt as if she had been reborn.” ― Laura Lee Guhrke, Guilty Pleasures
I was reminded today that I can have a life of pleasure and be emotionally authentic as well. As a sensual Goddess, I have the power and CHOICE to do so. I learned how to FEEL pain when certain life experiences take place, but it’s doesn’t mean I can’t learn and honor something different. To be clear, there’s nothing “wrong” with feeling pain, anger, sadness, or similar emotions, but the challenge is understanding that we are always choosing which emotions to engage based on our subconscious programming. Think about it: Do we have to feel pain and sadness because a person “dies?” Or could that person’s transition be embraced in the heart as a spirited love story, a merging of the lower consciousness with the higher self, the divinity of oneness, or a healing ancestor in progress, resulting in fierce celebrating and applauding??  When a person “dies,”  the communication, love, and relationship doesn’t stop, in fact, everything intensifies—- like multiple orgasms— when we allow it to do so. So why not choose love and pleasure when a person dies? Because it would seem inappropriate, wrong, insensitive, etc., based upon what most people have been taught about death (and dying). What I perceive as painful is a matter of perception, and that perception can easily be transmuted and seen through the abundant lens of love—through the deepest form of surrender, honoring our choice to choose, and not resisting anything. For me this is not avoidance of pain—as one person dearly noted, more so honoring my feminine graces and deity qualities to choose anything in life. Choice is such a powerful goddess and I choose sensuality and pleasure. Sometimes I choose other emotions too, but more and more, I am accepting that I choose love always and in all ways. I accept everything I subconsciously create!! At this point I have nothing much to hide…or lose. I only have my freedom…always and in all ways.
